Feathering your nest

At this time of year we all start to look inward to our homes. Over the summer they remain places to eat and sleep because our natural instincts tell us to go outside and make the most of our gardens and green spaces. During autumn and winter we start to forage for our nests and create warm and cosy places where we can hunker down with our chicks until everything starts to bloom again.

Want to update your interiors but are low on spendies? Paint a wall. Choose your favourite colour, one that makes you feel happy and knock yourself out. If you hate it in a years time, choose a different colour and paint over it. Make your home feel cosy by filling baskets with blankets and cushions. Throw sheepskins on your chairs and cosy up with a hot chocolate. Most of us haven’t got the budget to blow in Heals but that doesn’t mean you can’t feather your winter nest.

Need Some Help? Here at Poppy and Honesty we are delighted to offer an interior design and project management service that caters to individual needs. We spend time with our clients and find out how they use their space and how best to make the most of their homes. There is no point installing pale carpets if there is a mucky spaniel in residence. Likewise, velvet dining chairs don’t work for little ones testing the theory of gravity with their fish fingers. The space has to work for the people who live there and reflect their lifestyles and personalities. We work predominantly within South West Cornwall, but if you live elsewhere and would like to access our interior design or project management services, please do get in touch.
